Quality and the right price

GGT/AV is a not-for-profit organisation. We are funded by the government to deliver training and employment to Australian apprentices, and we value the essential role of our host employers in this fantastic cause.

We keep our hire rates as low as we possibly can, and pass on the savings to your business. Host employers pay only for the actual days that apprentices work and have no employment overheads like workcover, tax or superannuation to manage.

What sets us apart is the fact that we make a personal investment in each and every apprentice that we employ, so you can be sure that the apprentice or trainee that you hire from GGT/AV will be honest, enthusiastic, safe, properly trained and equipped and keen to learn. The GGT/AV Employment Guarantee

All of our apprentices and trainees receive a guarantee of full time employment for the lifetime of their apprenticeship with us. They are employed by GGT/AV - we find them all of their work placements, and they are not stood down if their host has to let them go.

We can make this guarantee because of our capacity to train our own apprentices, and the vast network of satisfied host employers who use our services, and ensure ongoing work placements.

Making it as easy as possible for employers

We want to create as many opportunities for our apprentices as possible. As a result, we have developed a service over 25 years which offers an easy cost effective way for an employer to take on an apprentice in their business, for a long or short period.

No employment hassles or overheads, no risk of recruiting the wrong person, no workplace disputes. Just a simple weekly or monthly invoice (your choice) and the full support of Australia’s leading group training employer. We care about our apprentices and our employers and will work with you to find a solution for your particular business that is flexible, convenient and cost effective.

We understand your business

Our field officers and instructors are qualified tradesmen, and have industry experience. They understand the demands on employers (many have run their own businesses), and can speak your language. If you are planning for the future, helping an apprentice to earn their qualification is a great way to recruit loyal, qualified tradespeople in the long term.
