GGT/AV has returned consistent profits for over 25 years. Through careful corporate governance and sound financial management, we have enjoyed steady expansion in terms of income, assets, capital, surpluses, apprentice and employer numbers every year since our inception.

By re-investing surpluses back into the organisation, we have grown from a small, regional group training company to a statewide training and education provider, offering a more diverse range of services to government and industry than any other apprenticeship organisation can.

Business strengths

GGT/AV receives some funding from the Australian and State Governments, as a GTO, and registered trainer of apprentices. This amounts to a small percentage of our overall income; the vast majority of our turnover (around 80%) comes from our core business - the employment and training of young people. Our financial strength means that we can continue to offer these opportunities to apprentices at consistently high levels each year, regardless of fluctuations in our funding amounts, the national economy or industry movements.

GGT/AV has always prided itself on its financial independence, and we have ensured that the organisation has assets and cash reserves in place to protect against risk, and surpluses available for investment in new training and employment innovations.
