Corporate Social Responsibilty

GGT/AV was originally created to :

encourage more young people in Gippsland to start their career with an apprenticeship, and

assist employers to overcome local skill shortages.

We started as a regional group training organisation, and drew upon the industries and employers in our region to offer top quality apprenticeships to local people.

Some of these challenges still exist today, and we are just as committed to solving them. As a not-for-profit organisation, our focus is on providing quality, affordable solutions for local businesses to promote the employment of Australian apprentices. Many of the original businesses that formed the employer base for GGT in its early years are still host employers and member organisations today.

GGT/AV works closely with government at every level to access relevant grants or funding, which allow us to offer education and training services to improve the economic development of the regions that we serve. We also believe that organisations like ours share a responsibility to contribute to the economic and employment needs of our regions. To this end, we reinvesting part of our surpluses each year into development projects that benefit our communities.

GGT/AV actively supports a range of community, social, charitable and sporting organisations, as well as education and training programs that provide better opportunities for Australian apprentices. We are always interested in partnering with government and industry of CSR projects.
