John Zagami has been working as a builder in East Gippsland for around 28 years and has been hosting GGT/AV apprentices for most of that time.
Many of our host employers are small business owners like John, who rely on us to provide flexible apprenticeship solutions for their business. John is currently providing work for 2 of our carpentry apprentices, and has contributed over the years to the success of many more young, local people.

Training Services
GGT/AV is a Registered Training Organisation, accredited by the Australian government deliver nationally recognised training programs.
We have eight modern training centres located throughout Gippsland and metropolitan Melbourne, staffed by highly qualified and experienced trade instructors.
GGT/AV provides free training services to our own apprentices and host employers, and also delivers training to many other externally employed apprentices at competitive rates. Our training focus has always been on skill shortage traditional trades. As a specialist in trades, we currently deliver nationally accredited training in the following trade discipline :

As a private training provider, GGT/AV's training services are recognised by industry as being of an extremely high quality.
We are an ISO 9000:2001 Quality Endorsed company and operate at above compliance levels under the Australian Quality Training Framework. We also voluntarily participate in the Star Rating Scheme managed by the Institute for Trade Skills Excellence, a national body which provides advice to employers and apprentices on exceptional training providers. Our Carpentry and Plumbing training in particular has been awarded the highest possible national rating.
GGT/AV can provide a full credit transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning service at the time of enrolment for students with prior training or experience. This training is delivered with Government funding. Students with physical and / or intellectual disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Flexibility
There is no set formula for our RTO training services, although we can offer packages or ‘suites’ of automotive, engineering, business or building modules. We are happy to meet with you and offer a selection of training options, either in your workplace or at one of our training facilities, that are tailored precisely to your employees’ needs.
