John Zagami has been working as a builder in East Gippsland for around 28 years and has been hosting GGT/AV apprentices for most of that time.
Many of our host employers are small business owners like John, who rely on us to provide flexible apprenticeship solutions for their business. John is currently providing work for 2 of our carpentry apprentices, and has contributed over the years to the success of many more young, local people.

AV Recruitment Pty Ltd was established in 2005 as a separate, for-profit company. Using our partnerships with universities and TAFE colleges, it can assist employers to locate and employ professional, graduate and technical staff. We offer a complete service to all employers, regardless of the size of your business or the length of time that you would like staff placed with you.

AV Recruitment employs graduates under the same structure as our apprentices and trainees – AV Recruitment remains their employer at all times, and employers pay a simple hourly hire rate. We take care of all of the employment admin and red-tape, and pay entitlements such as superannuation, workcover and leave.
This service is of particular value to employers who also place our apprentices or trainees, as the invoicing system is identical and new staff can be seamlessly introduced into your organisation, at short notice. We take the time to meet with you, learn about your business and develop a recruitment strategy that will work for you. There is no charge until you have the right person placed in your workplace.
If you are satisfied with your recruit’s performance, you might like to consider a long term placement, or even offering them a position within your organisation. There are no exit charges with AV Recruitment; in fact, we encourage our graduates to seek employment opportunities directly with our hosts.

As a Job Placement organisation, GGT/AV can offer a vital service to any employer who is seeking an apprentice (or other kind of employee) regardless of trade, age or experience. We help employers to locate quality applicants by advertising on the Australia Job Search Network and offering assistance in collating and shortlisting applicants foe each position. This is a free service to all employers.
